Sod in the rain...

Jeff started sodding our yard on Saturday. He ran out of sod, and it was too late to buy any. So today, in the pouring rain Jeff was outside laying sod for 3 hours. I felt so bad for him. I kept going out in the garage to see if he needed anything.

He was absolutely filthy! It is all done now, and with all this rain we will not need to water it!

colors....

Our pool light has 14 different colors. It is really cool. Red is Jeff's favorite

All Done....

Our pool is ready!! Jeff turned off the hose around 9:30 PM. We had two hoses going, so it took less time. It is about 10,000 gallons of water. Tomorrow they will come back and turn all the pumps and equipment on. Monday they will put chemicals in it. Another month and they will add the salt. Jeff has a lot of work cut out for him now with landscaping, sod, staining the fence ect. So he will be busy the next few weeks!!

The filling begins....

They arrived here this morning to clean up the pool. Soon after, around 11 AM, they started filling up the pool with water.

Marcite...

Today they are marcite the pool. Its the final touch before the water is put in. It almost looks like they are using spackle. They have these funny looking things on the bottom of their feet so their shoes do not leave marks in the pool.

They will come back tomorrow when it is all dry and pressure wash the inside and then it is time for the water.

So Beautiful....

Our patio deck and fence is done being installed. It looks absolutely amazing!! Our yard actually looks bigger than before.

Mya loves it She looks over the fence out to the lake. Daisey is still a little apprehensive about it all.
The pavers still need to be compacted and sanded. Jeff's guys worked from 7:30 AM to 8:30 PM! It is insane how hard they work. Jeff bought them beer and I went to pick them up pizza for dinner.

The patio steps down to the pool and then its all one level.

That is the retaining wall that faces the lake. Its very neat.

Our fence is complete as well. Jeff has to let it sit for a few days and then he can stain it. His plan his to complete the irrigation system this next week and lay Sod and stain the fence next weekend so there is water in the pool for him to cool down! I wish I could help, but I am way too pregnant.

OH MY......A HUGE MESS

Today the paver and fence people worked all day. Our house is an absolute mess. It is very stressful, but will be worth it in the end

The fence is half done and they will come back tomorrow to finish. Jeff is going to stain the fence himself next weekend.

pavers begin...

Today our pool past the second inspection so Jeff could begin the pavers.

This was our existing back patio. Jeff decided to re-do the entire thing so the pavers would match the new ones. This is what they did today, the step, coping and grout.

That's the grout on the coping before they clean it off the pavers.

Pavers delivered....

Today our pavers got delivered too. There was a huge truck outside.

Our driveway is half covered with pavers!

electrical...

Today the electricians hooked everything up.

This is the automotive system. It will be all controlled by a wireless remote!

This is our pump and other stuff I do not know! It is salt/chlorine generated.

Plumbing...

Yesterday they started to plumb our pool. It looked like a huge mess, again!

The water in the bottom of the pool is from the water table underneath the ground. It smells really bad and looks gross.

This is all our pool equipment and pool heater. The farthest back unit is our AC unit that Jeff moved.

they finished today with all the plumbing. All the dirt is even around the pool ready for the electrical part and pavers. It will be done in no time.

Waterline Tile....

This stage is called installing the waterline tile and grout.

Here is a close up of the tile. It goes really well with our pavers.

It only took them 4 hours to install and grout. Jeff even made them change about 10 tiles because he wanted all the tiles to be different!

Shooting the shell...

This stage is called shooting the shell, its with cement. They bring these big cement trucks and use a huge hose to shoot it.

Here it is all done. It only took them 3 hours to do the whole shell. It is amazing how fast it goes.

It looks like a pool now.

That's the sun seat with a place for an umbrella sticking out. It s about 8 inches of water. This is where the little guy and I will be if anyone ever needs to find us!!

Steeling the pool....

This stage is called steeling. They take re bar and bend into the shape of the pool.

It is like a upside down bird cage.

The Digging ends...Thank goodness!

There is a huge hole on our back yard now. That's Jeff in the pool.

I am glad this stage is over because it is very loud and messy. Mya and Daisey were getting on my nerves crying and barking to the front door and then to the back. It was very annoying.

The longest part of the digging is removing all the dirt and taking truck loads away to dump.

The poles sticking out will be cut when they poor the concrete.

The gravel is to suck up the water from the ground.
