He is growing fast..

Conner had a well check today. I am so excited to say my baby boy weighs 8 lbs 6 oz, in the 25th percentile, he still a tiny little thing! He is 21 3/4 long, 50th percentile. He is doing perfect. He goes back 8/17 and he is going to get lots of shots, yuck! When the nurse weighed him, I jumped up and down and was so excited of his big weight gain. I almost shed a tear knowing I gave him that from my body. I produce the nourishment he needs. Breastfeeding is painful and time consuming; but, the way I felt today when I heard his weight gain, was worth all the pain in the world. I do it for my son, how amazing!

Conner sleeping...

Conner was sleeping in Mom-Mom's arms. He finally moved his liitle hands and made the Peace sign!

Grandma's Love...

Yesterday I picked my mommy up from the airport. It is the first time baby Conner gets to meet his Mom-Mom. She sat in the back with Conner on the way home and fell in love! Looking at her youngest grandson. She has not had a grandson in 9 years! She said she can see Jeff in him but can see me too.

Aww, Conner your Mom-Mom loves you dearly and it's too bad she lives so far away.

Such a cutie....

He was just wide awake on Mom-Mom's shoulder. He is just so perfect

Ouch...

...is not all I said as I found a wasp crawling on my neck, with the baby in my arms. As I felt something crawling on my neck I grabbed it and saw it was a wasp. Some how it stung my neck 3 times and then again on my finger. I started to flip out because the baby was in my arms and I was so afraid it got him, plus I am deathly allergic to bees my throat closes up. Did I mention that I was in my house!? Yes, the wasp was inside crawling on me, YUCK. Jeff ran inside and I yelled to get me benadryl ASAP. He grabbed 2 pills and I drank it with hot water for them to work faster. I am fine but have 3 huge marks on the side of my face ad it itches SOOO bad. I just thank the lord the wasp got me and not my baby boy.

second try, Conner took a bottle....

Daddy gave Conner his first bottle tonight. It took about 5 minutes to get him to take it, I had to help and teach Jeff how to do it. It was very cute!! Once Conner got hold of it, He just keep sucking!

We will do the bottle thing maybe 1 or 2 times a week. I do not want him to get use to the bottle and then not want my breast, that would just break my heart! Plus, I really do not like pumping!

Conner's First Fourth of July....

For the 4th, we had Jeff's family in town. Conner had two outfits to wear for his first fourth of July. We had a cookout with tons of food!

Conner's second outfit was a little big on him, but he looked so cute in it!

Since we had almost all Nancy's kids and their families, (Lauren & Ryan, we missed you!) we decided to do a cake and sing Happy Birthday to Nancy. Her birthday is July 13 and she will be 60! Her favorite cake is coconut, so I made my first coconut cake, and it was a hit. Everyone loved it, it was actually pretty yummy I must say.

My baby boy, I love you so much!

Our happy family!

Conner, your Daddy absolutely adores you.

There was a breeze out on our patio, so Conner and I were able to join in on the fun for a bit.

He fell asleep in my arms, and I guess he had enough of the heat!!

First try giving Conner a Bottle...

Mama getting the milk warm, and Conner just squaking because he is hungry. He took it for about 5 seconds, realized it was not my breast and screamed some more!!"What are you trying to give me!!"

And, no luck. We will try again in a few days. Jeff will do it next time and see if that will make a difference if he cannot smell me.

The Salch Cousins....

Here are all Jeff's siblings kids and Conner. Zoe is 10, Megan is 2 1/2, Nick is 7 months and Conner is 22 days.

Doctors Appointment...

Today Conner is 11 days old. He had a weight check visit today and has gained 5oz! Yea!! So feeding him every 2-3 hours (from the time you start, not finish) and being completely exhausted is paying off! Conner weighed in at 6lbs 11oz and 21 3/8 long. The doctor said we are doing wonderful and Conner is perfectly healthy. She stated she can see I am a very dedicated first time mother and she is so proud of me!The doctor said today that many woman do not stick with breastfeeding and that it takes a very special person to only breastfeed. You must have a lot of patience in the beginning with breastfeeding. I have to agree with her. I do not feel that formula is bad, but it is by far way easier to pop a bottle in their mouth and continue what you are doing. You can not do that breastfeeding. You must find a private spot and take an hour to feed him, and an hour later, it is feeding time again. It is so worth it to me in the end. So we are still going strong!

Father's Day...

Today was Jeff's first Father's Day. Conner and I made him breakfast and then we hung out out at the house all day. When Conner went down for his long nap, I went out to the pool and hung out with Jeff. We finally got alone time together and it was very nice and relaxing. At 4, we went over my Dad' s house and celebrated with him and all my siblings.

Also, My sister Jenn and I got Conner's pictures done for his announcement. I do not want to spoil the announcement, so here is just one picture of us.

Conner William....

These pictures were taken on Father's Day for his announcements by my sister Jenn.
He is 11 days old here.
