So, the other day Conner looked at Jeff and said 'Da-Da' then turned to me and said 'ma' :) It was the cutest thing ever!! Now, today he said 'ma-ma' numerous times and also 'ba-ba' which I am thinking means bottle, since he has them now. He is growing so fast and exploring so much! He loves to climb on everything now, even his toys!!

WHOA...

I am so excited to say that Conner officially is weaned! I am so proud of myself for making it this long with breastfeeding. I am just at a point now, where he is getting too strong and has way too many teeth :) This morning he slept till 530 AM so I figured I should try a bottle of formula since I knew he was hungry. He took the whole thing!! I was super excited! I hope this last and I can not wait to feel FREE again!! I loved the bonding time with him and knowing I was giving him the best thing I could, but I am over it. And mommy must be happy for baby to be :)

1st Valentines Day....

Today was Conner's very first Valentines Day :) We just hung out at home all day until dinner time! Sooo Cute ;)

We left around 4 PM to go to this new place we had gift certificates for, it was called Seafood Kitchen. We arrive and it is a Seafood diner!! No big deal, but Jeff said lets go somewhere else. I refuse to take my wife out on Valentines Day to a diner!! SO we ended up going to Ragtime in Atlantic Beach which is one of my favorites. It was very yummy, as always :) I got the pecan encrusted salmon with a holindase sauce with veggie medley and Jeff got Tuna, which I tried and it was not bad served with rice and beans. It was a great dinner and Conner was an angel, as always.

After little man was in bed, I bought strawberries and Candy quick to have chocolate covered strawberries, we had some champagne (which we never opened!!) and rented a movie, Couples Retreat, which was a great movie :)

Cooking stew...

Today I started beef stew in the crock pot around 830 AM. We had it for dinner around 5Pm and it was to die for!! Jeff loved it too! It was the first time I made it, so I was a little nervous. I figured a good day to try it since it was chilly outside. I went online and just read a few recipes and ratings on them and just threw my own together. While Jeff and I ate, Conner helped us with his big spoon ;) He even had a little taste of the broth and he loved it too!! The recipe is a keeper :)

Jeff said when he was a child, he loved building forts, so he built a little one for Conner!!

8 months...

I can not believe my Little Man is 8 months old today!! I weighed him in about 18 lbs and almost 30 inches long. he is growing so fast! He still has 6 teeth and 2 more are coming on top. He now says Da-da, only when he wants to and just babbles all day long :) He loves food and will eat anything he can pick up and put in his mouth! He is still army crawling , but he has gotten really fast at it. Daisey and him play all day long with each other. Mya runs the other way as soon as they make eye contact :) He can hold on to anything while standing for a while, but still has not pulled himself up yet, NO RUSH!!! He loves taking baths!! He gets so excited when I start the water for his bath. He lays on the bath mat and takes the shower curtain and flares it all around his face while I say peak-a-boo :) He is so happy and always smiling :)

Blacked Eyed Peas....

Jeff and I went to the Black Eyed Peas concert!! It was AWESOME :) We had such a good time and it was great to have a 'date' with my hubby ;-) Aunt Candi watch little man for us, and as always, he was an angel!!

another DR visit....

5 AM Conner woke up with a 102.7 fever. I gave him some Motrin and let him come in and snuggle with mama & dada for a bit. Poor guy was so HOT. Around 8 Am he still had a little fever, so I called the DR. He has a viral virus???? Not sure what that really means, but the DR said he may spike a fever over the next few days and just treat it with tylenol/motrin. He weighs 17 lbs 15 oz. He also is not eating/sleeping like normal. My poor little man :(

1st playdate with friends....

Today Conner and I went to a mutual friends house for a play date. There was about 10 moms and their little ones. Ages range from 6 weeks-10 months. It was a lot of fun, and Conner had a blast :)

Cousin Tyler....

Tonight we went out to dinner to see my step-mom and my dad after their trip to Antarctica. They had been gone for 3 1/2 weeks. My Grandmother was also leaning the next day to go back to MD. The entire FL gang was there, minus Jonathan, my step-brother.

Here is Tyler, my oldest nephew whom is 14 and Conner. I remember when Tyler was Conner's age, and I would watch him ALL the time. I never dreamed of him holding my son. It is crazy how they grow and how fast it happens.

This morning Conner woke up and he was screaming Da-Da-da-da ;) Jeff had a smile from ear to ear on his face. I am not really sure if Conner knows what he is saying, but it is very sweet to see Jeff so happy!! Now, we are just working on waving hi & bye and clapping!! He will get it before we know it :)
